Colostrum is the first lactealsecretion produced by the mammary gland of a mother prior to the production of milk. Colustrum contains four to five times the protein as regular milk so it is an ideal whole food for people who have lost the ability to eat to consume. Colostrum also contains many different factors that can help detoxify the body. It is thought to help eliminate the yeasts and harmful organisms that live in the colon and cause disease.  These yeasts and organisms produce alcohol and other toxic substances that strip a person of their ability to be energetic. Colostrum changes the environment in the colon from acidic to alkaline so that these organisms cannot thrive.
